Jonny Jacques
Jonny Jacques is 26 years old and is the General Manager of The Avenue Theatre. Jonny has been involved in Edmonton’s live music industry since 2003 and has extensive experience working as a concert promoter. He has produced a countless number of concerts and events as well as a variety of festivals at many different venues. He was hired full time in October of 2007 at the Avenue Skatepark with the sole purpose of growing live music in the facility. In the summer of 2008, Jonny was the main driving force behind transforming the Avenue Skatepark into the multi purpose arts space it is today. His focus is now overseeing the day to day operations of the Theatre. Jonny is also CEO of Gateway Screen & Press and Executive Director of the Common Ground Arts Society.
Jonny’s fondest memory of an event he has worked on: It’s a tie. Set Your Goals @ Avenue in May 2007 or No Competition, Just Collaboration Festival @ Avenue in April 2008.
Jonny’s favourite passtime: Hanging out with my little family… wife, Ally and son, Sawyer.
